The following are lists of quality and worth trusting scholarships in Ghana.

  1. GNPC Local Scholarship.

It is open to eligible Ghanaian students pursuing undergraduates and postgraduates programs at any public tertiary institution in Ghana. The GPNC scholarship covers tuition, living expenses and learning materials.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be a Ghanaian
  • Must have obtained admission to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme at a public tertiary institution.
  • Teachers and lecturers in STEM.
  • Tutors pursuing English and Ghanaian Languages, TVET at technical schools, Nursing Training colleges and Colleges of Educations.

Persons with disabiliets are required to upload medical certificate stating the kind of disability.

All applications to this scholarship is done in their official website, gnpcghana. Note that all applications are done online. Submission of hard copies of application will be rejected.

This facility does not apply to sandwich, part-time, private or fee-paying student in public tertiary institutions.

  1. Ghana Scholarship Secretariat.

It is an organisation under the office of the president established in 1960 and mandated to handle and award government scholarships for human resource development and growth of the country. They go by the motto, making dreams a reality.

  1. To Begin, Visit the application process site,
  2. Then click on “Sign Up” in the menu to create an account on the online scholarship portal to register.
  3. Afterwards login with the account created and fill the online scholarship application form on the portal with the required information.
  4. Then upload your academic qualification documents, admission letters, academic certificate and other necessary documentation in PDF format.
  5. You may be required to complete an online aptitude test.
  6. Those who pass the online aptitude test will be scheduled for a selection interview in their district.


  • You must be a Ghanaian.
  • You must be a free SHS graduate seeking any tertiary institution in Ghana.

Note: Application starts from 1st December to 15th of December, 2020.

  1. Ghana COCOBOD Farmers’ Scholarship Trust

COCOBOD farmers’ scholarship trust financial assistance to farmers’ wards already in senior high/ commercial and technical schools. It intends to give the scholarship to a limited number of students in senior high schools who are brilliant but needy. Application forms are obtainable from the Heads of second cycle schools. District offices of quality control company cocoa health extension division and regional administrators of cocobod.

Applications with insufficient information or improperly completed will be rejected.

MTN Bright scholarship is scholarship trust run by the MTN. Most of the time we hear MTN foundation South Africa, MTN foundation Nigeria, but today MTN Ghana foundation is doing great in Ghana with the MTN Ghana foundation scholarships 2020. The scholarship is called the MTN BRIGHT SCHOLARSHIPS.


All applications are done via their website or visit any of the MTN service centers to pick a form and grab your scholarship.



  • The applicant must be a Ghanaian.
  • Must be proven to be brilliant but needy.



  • Log into the official website of the mtn foundation scholarship.
  • Provide a one-page letter of motivation indicating why MTN Foundation should award you a scholarship for your education, including what your educational and professional goals are.
  • Attach WASSCE results, admission letters and written Testimonials from your Senior High School. Please not that thorough checks will be made on all documents submitted.
  • The application must be submitted together with valid contact details (Phone number or E-mail address).

NB: You must have a credit pass in WASSCE and SSCE. For continuing students, you should have a minimum of 3.0 GPA or average of 60.
