As the likes of Francis Asenso Boakye and Abu Jinapor who have been appointed into the government by President Akufo-Addo, Dr. Hamid Abdul Mustapha has been made the new CEO of National Petroleum Authority.

Dr. Abdul Hamid will be replacing Hassan Tampuli who is now a member of parliament for Gushegu as the new CEO of National Petroleum Authority. Until his appointment, Abdul Hamid was the minister for Zongo Development and Inner cities after serving as Information Minister from 2017. 

Short Biography of Dr. Mustapha Hamid

Dr. Mustapha Hamid Abdul, born in June 1971 to a millitary man, he entered Tamale Secondary School in 1987 and clocked his Advanced Level Certificate. In 1991, he entered the University of Cape Coast to persue Bachelor of Arts and majored in Religious Studies. He obtained an M.Phil and a PhD in Religious Studies from the same university.

During his student days at the University of Cape Coast, he was the president of the Ghana Muslim Students Association and the Student's Representative Council. 

He is now married to a beautiful, good charactered woman and has seven kids as at now.
